The Marrying Kind

Emmie is already dreaming of a white wedding in her future. She loves to play dress-up and quickly turned this old slip of mine into a wedding dress. She even found a lovely "bouquet" and made her own veil out of a baby wipe. I'm not too worried about her growing up too fast, though. She mostly wants to marry me when she grows up:)

I scream, you scream...

We took a little trip to the Children's Museum on Tuesday, sans Daddy and Callie. After all our fun and games, Ben and Emily enjoyed their customary ice cream al fresco. Spring hath sprung and we're loving it!

The Many Faces of A Bathing Beauty

When you are the Kate Moss of babies you have to really live up to the expectations set forth by your super-model predecessors. Callie has been working on her "Smizing"(smiling with just your eyes) as well as her "Smouthing"(smiling with your mouth. Duh.). She has quite an impressive range, wouldn't you say?
The Scrunchie Face

The Bunny Rabbit

The Chipmunk

The Pirate

Smizing

The "WTF?"

Smouthing/Closed Smizing. This chick is a PRO.

Thoughtful Smizing. Seriously. Where is Tyra?!

Bath Buddies

Although he doesn't like the sparse water-level, Ben has been loving bath time now that Callie can take a bath with him. He is particularly proud whenever he helps save her from falling under the water:) Ask him about taking a bath with Callie and he'll regale you with all the times he's saved her. Such a good brother! It almost makes up for all the time he snatches toys from her, causing her to tip over in the first place;)

Ben, showing Callie the finer parts of drinking bath water.

He's getting really good at dodging my attempts to take his picture!

Emmie decided to skip the bath because she "fixed her hair" and didn't want to mess it up.
Yes, that's FOUR layered Dora stickers. She's got mad style.

Bounce-A-Rama

My cousin gave us passes to this place so we gave it a shot. It was like Chuck E. Cheese meets Pump It Up, but 3X more expensive=/ Of course they loved everything about it and threw major fits when it was time to leave. We have two more passes and we'll probably save this place for special occasions in the future. It's pretty pricey!

Love her crazy, bouncy hair and the oh-so-chic forehead Bandaid:) No ouchie; just high fashion.

Ben is normally very cautious about inflatable slides. He's NOT a fan, normally. This one was a hit because it featured Lightening McQueen and wasn't too high. I guess McQueen makes things a little less daunting?

Miss Fearless has never met a slide she didn't love. Look at that face!

And just look at this face. Ohhhhh, how I love this face:)

Let's All Fly A Kite

Today is Mimi's real birthday and after lunch, we went to play with the new kites she gave Ben and Emily. They figured it out super-fast and had a blast running around and flying their kites! It was the perfect breezy, sunny day for it:)

Mimi's 50th Birthday Party!

We celebrated Mimi's 50th last night with friends and family and it was fab. Everyone had a great time, especially the kids. I'm pretty sure Ben just jumped on the trampoline for four straight hours because he could barely stay awake for bedtime tonight! Even Emmie(aka Sickie Lake) had fun. Happy Birthday, Mimi!

Sick Again:(

Poor Milly is sick again. Or sick, still. Not sure which. Obviously you're very ill indeed if you can fall asleep sitting up! Even buying her The Princess and the Frog didn't cure what ails her(although it's helped a lot!). She's just feeling icky.

8 Months Old!

Yesterday, Ben said "I don't want Callie to have a birthday. I want her to stay little like she is right now.". Me too, Ben! She is perfection at 8 months old. She is all giggles, smiles, high-pitched squeals and oh-so-sweet snuggles. She is a completely different baby now that she knows how to get around on her own(barrel-rolling!), sit up like a big girl and, her latest trick, self-feed cheerios. She's mastered SO much in the last 2 months it blows my mind. I guess that's what we can expect from here on out: rapid-fire milestones.

This post is about a week late, as Callie is recovering from Hand, Foot and Mouth disease and was a hot mess last week! She couldn't eat or sleep and was just miserable. She's feeling much better now, as you can see from her pictures:) Oh, and the peanut is weighing in at a slight 15lbs, 5.5 oz. She's so slender!

She was insanely cute during this photo session.

I guess she stores all her baby-fat in her sweet, chubby cheeks?

Single Ladies is her favorite song.
"All the single ladies/all the single ladies/put your hands up!"
She LOVES getting her picture taken. I would tell her to say ''cheese!" and she give me this cheesy grin and make the cutest humming noise. I swear, she understands me and was saying 'cheese' in babynese. She's that brilliant, yo. Oh, also notice the waving! That's her new fave thing, besides Cheerios.

I always think she looks just like Ben, until I see her next to Milly.
She's like the perfect mix of both of them!
