Fun at the park!

Little Beggers!

I mentioned earlier that Emily begs for food just like a puppy. I caught these pictures of both my little mooches in action! The second you sit down with food they descend like vultures. Tell me why I'm not thinner?

The Look

Emily has already perfected her look of disdain. I am SO proud;) Here's the look she gives me any time I tell her "No". Those who know me personally might recognize it!

Big Brother/Big Helper

Ben loves to help out. Here he is giving Milly a hand with the toy car. He loved pushing her around on it, which was a welcome change. Lately they squabble over all the toys!

Asleep on the job

Here's a picture of Hazel asleep in the jumperoo. I swear this kid could fall asleep anywhere! I promise I don't ignore or neglect her, she just goes from wide-awake to out-cold in 5 seconds!

The Benmily Show Goes to the Beach!

My best-friend Katie and I decided to take Ben and Emily to the beach today. Obviously we hadn't thought it out before-hand;) Did you know that it requires an enormous amount of energy(and stuff!) to take two toddlers to the beach? Did you know it's near-impossible to push a double stroll on sand? Those were two things we didn't realize before setting out for Santa Cruz today. However, the trip was a huge success if you consider that they both had a wonderful time! I have exhausted my best-friend(and possible scared her off motherhood!), though=)

Here's Ben seeing the ocean for the first time!

He was suitably impressed and loved watching the swimmers.

He was fearless and ran right into the surf. It was so cold, though!

Emily wasn't a fan of the sand or surf, but loved people-watching.

We dipped her feet in and she was NOT pleased!

Even walking on the sand was a little to much nature for Miss Priss

At one point, she willingly climbed back into the stroller for the rest of the outing!

Every time she got sandy, she'd cry=)

Ben loves every minute. though, and can't wait to go back!

Great

Look what Ben taught Emily to do! Isn't that special? I've had to hide the chairs to keep her from climbing on the table. She is so fast that she can climb up there before I even realize it.

Not so flattering!

This picture of me is TERRIBLE. Ugh, the angle makes my head look like it weighs a million pounds. But, it was a sweet, funny moment that I'm happy to have captured. Ben wanted me to sit on his lap for once. He climbed into the chair and pulled me back until my head was on his lap. Then he said, "hi, mama." and kissed me. Awwwwwww. Emily is very affectionate; she hugs and kisses me all day long. Ben is a little more judicious with his affections so it's especially nice when he shares the love. Despite the horrible angle, this is one of my favorite pictures of the two of us.

The Scheduler

Ben decided to make some much-needed changes to daddy's work schedule. Here he is, hard at work.

The Lunch Bunch

What a good friend Hazel is! She always shares her lunch with Milly(not that she has a choice). Emily had taken to standing at the high-chair, trying to reach it and screeching like a banshee until she got a morsel(even if she just ate). So, I decided to lower the chair and add enough food for the two of them to share. And, thus, the Lunch Bunch was born! For what it's worth, Hazel is quite the little beggar, too. She's always trying to steal food off Ben's plate and will sit at your feet and wimper when you are eating=) Babies and toddler...just like puppies!

Oh-so-Artsy;)

Here's my attempts to take some creatively-angled shots. I'm thinking it's probably best if I don't give up my day job;)

Wild Animals

Here are my wild animals after their nightly bath. Gotta love silly hooded towels!
