First Chocolate-chip Cookie!

The Baby Video

There is a video on my mom's cell phone that Ben ADORES. It's of Emily and she's saying, "Gaga!". Ben loves to watch it over and over and I snapped some cute pictures of him enjoying the show today. You can really tell how entertained he is!

Emily's 1st Haircut!

I decided it was time to trim Emily's bangs. They were starting to look really scraggly and were always in her eyes or plastered to her head with some sort of partially masticated food product. Below is a picture of her from the weekend:

Bedtime at the Monkey Cage

We are gearing up to move Emily from our bedroom into Ben's room. Friday is the BIG DAY(pray for me! this could get ugly!), so we need the babies to get used to a new bedtime routine. In the past, I have gotten them both ready for bed together, but put Emily to bed in our room an hour before Ben. Ben and I(or Ben and Dan) would then spend some quiet time playing, watching tv and snuggling. Once we move Emily into Ben's room we will need to put them both to bed at the same time. This means that Emily gets to stay up later, but it also means that our once quiet and peaceful "Snuggle-Time" with Ben is a thing of the past.

All these changes are making me so sad! I really enjoyed and cherished having some quiet time with both of them before putting them to bed. Emily and I would nurse in our bedroom before she went down, and then I got to go lay on the couch with Ben and cuddle for an hour! I hope they won't miss these old routines as much as Dan and I surely will. For what it's worth, they have really been enjoying being together before bedtime over the last few nights. It ends up being more of a giggle-filled wrestling match between the three of us as I try in vain to make them both sit quietly and snuggle with me. But, I really think they will love sharing a room from now on. Keep us in your thoughts this weekend and I will keep you updated! Here are some pictures I snapped from tonight=)
