The Camera-Bandits Strike AGAIN:(

You'd think I'd have learned my lesson! This time, they lost the battery charger for the camera AND my back-up memory card. Seriously. Two toddlers(three if you count Hazel) will be the death of me! They have learned how to gang up on me. One distracts, the other destroys. Then they switch! So, until I find those very vital elements to The Benmily Show, posts will be limited to old pictures or text-only(yawn!). Sorry, fans!

Update on the room-mates

Things are getting better for my own little Odd Couple! Ben seems to be adapting to the change the best. He loves sharing his room with Emily and is really sad if he has to take a nap without her. He does yell, "Baby! Be quiet!" during her crying jags, though. However, he has gotten used to her crying in the middle of the night and doesn't get scared or want to get up when I go in the room to get her! That, alone, is a HUGE coup for us. Emily has only slept through the night twice since we moved her in there last Thursday:( She has been waking up and wanting to come into bed with me. In an attempt to keep Ben relaxed and sleepy, I just rush right in and bring her back to our bed. I know she CAN sleep through the night, it will just take some more time, I guess!

The Chatterbox

Ben has currently had a word explosion! He says so many new words and phrases lately, although I'm still the one who understands him best. His funniest phrases are:
"Oh my GAWD!!!"
"Help! Get help!"
"Where'd everybody go?"
"What you guys talkin about?"
"What you doin?"
"I'm tirstee. Gimme me sometin to dwink?"
"Mooooomeeee? Here are you????"

Smart Baby!

Boys don't make passes at girls who wear glasses?! Good! Maybe we'll have to Super-Glue these to her face then;) Doesn't Emily look so smart?

Roomates!

I decided to move Emily on Thursday instead of Friday. Carpe Diem and all that. The loved having Emily's bed in their new room and played in it all day. Naptime was a little tricky, but after about 45 minutes(punctuated by two check-ins, one diaper-change, a bout of hysterical crying, a bout of "Wake up, Baby! Wake up" from Ben and him also taking a picture off the wall and hurting himself), they bot fell asleep together. Yay! Bedtime was even easier! Go, me!

That's where the ease of transition ends, my friends. Emily woke them both up at 5 am and, while she went easily back to sleep, Mr. Ben would NOT. Due to some social obligations, they missed the afternoon nap, but bedtime was HORRIFIC. Emily screamed for well over 30 minutes before passing out from exhaustion. I expected it to be hard, but after yesterday, I was pretty optimistic. Oh well...this, too, shall pass, right? Keep the good-vibes, thoughts and prayers coming as Ben and Emily become roomates!
