5 Months Old!

Miss C. is five months old. FIVE. One-hundred and fifty days, give or take, have passed her by since she departed the womb and entered the big, wide world. Someone please make it slow down!! Here are her holiday lights pictures for you to enjoy!

Feast of St. Nicholas

Last night, Ben and Emmie dictated their holiday wish lists to me and we put them in their stockings. When they woke up, the lists were gone(to the North Pole, naturally) and in their place was a special surprise! Santa had left candies and a small toy. Ben and Emily couldn't believe their good luck! Happy St. Nick's Day:)

Holiday Helpers

Ben was SO excited to help me decorate the Christmas tree this year! He was a supremely good helper, too. He really remembers the past holidays and is very excited for Christmas to come. He and Emily basically decorated the whole tree and did a pretty good job! There's only a few spots that have multiple ornaments on the same branch:) Now, if I could just keep Emmie from taking them off the tree over and over again, we'd be great!


Ben has been dressing himself lately. I mentioned his shirt was backwards and his response was, "Yeah. I can wear it backwards". Well, I guess? I mean, who really says you *have* to wear your clothes in the right direction? Hmmm...deep.

Elf-Girl loved putting on all the girly decorations. See the purple ball at the top, left corner of this picture? That's Emmie's new ornament. We went to the Dollar Tree and I let them pick one item each. Ben picked a flute(Thanks, God) and Emmie only wanted this pretty, sparkly ornament.

Here, you can see Ben's ensemble to it's full-potential. Cute, no?

The piece de resistance...the Angel. Ben couldn't wait to top the tree himself!

Homegirls

As you may recall, Emmie and Lily's birthdays are just 12 days apart. They have been homegirls since back in tha day. Now that they both have lil sisters, Callie and Maya can be homegirls, too.

Callie really liked Maya...

...until Maya stole her toy and tried to claw her eyes out;)
She made-nice, though, and patted Callie on the head.

Babies Lily and Emmie back in da day. This was Halloween, which explains Lily's interesting shirt.
Well, sort of explains it! It was quite the convoluted costume:)

Lily and Maya come to play

We live in the same neighborhood as our our friends Lily, Maya and their mama Kim now! They came over for a visit and we had a blast. We're so happy and excited to live close to our buddies! We can't wait to play with them again and again:)

The Wild Bunch was a little too wild for Sweet, Bashful Lily.
She enjoyed a lot of quiet play at the table but warmed up a lot towards the end!

Maya and Callie are 3.5 months apart. It makes such a big difference in babies, doesn't it?

Baby Maya is SO cute. She was crawling all over and Ben and Emmie adored her.

Ladybug Game

Ben got this board game for his birthday and we recently started playing it with him during Emmie and Callie's naptime. He caught on very quickly and mostly plays by the rules;) It's a great game for practicing counting, adding, subtracting and taking turns. We love it so much that Santa will be bringing a few more board games this year!

We're still teaching good sportsmanship to Dan, though.
