Emily's First Visit To Preschool!

This was the first time Emily has been to Ben's preschool. Ben was beyond excited to show her around. I was really surprised at how happy he was to have her at his school! He ran around with her, yelling "Emmie's at my school, mama!". Of course, she loved every minute of it. She couldn't believe her luck; she got to run around, pick up pumpkins, eat delish foods and play with all of Beh-buh's friends and their siblings. I'm sure she can't wait to go to preschool, too!

Everything at Ben's school is perfect for children between the ages of 18 months and 6 years. Emily just dove right in and started playing. It was so cute to watch her explore.

Please notice the orange ring with all the pumpkins inside. I showed emily how to place the ring around a pumpkin and she went one step further! She decided to fill the ring up with pumpkins instead. She is very proud of herself, as you can see!

The festival was a pot-luck and there were some things they just weren't into. Emily tried an edamame pod and found it NOT to her liking=) I love the look on her face after tasting it!

The best part of the festival was playing with her big brother, though!

Ben+Ruby=BFFs4EVR

I think Ben has his first best friend! The loveable Ruby has been featured on this blog before. We're SO HAPPY that she and her mama moved back to our area. Now Ben and Ruby can play all the time! We had a little playdate on Sunday and it was so cute to watch them play together. It basically consists of Ben chasing Ruby or vice versa. Sometimes they dance, sometimes they hug. They always have fun, though!

Snuggle Time

Since Ben was a baby, the last half-hour before we put him to bed has always been devoted to what we call, "Snuggle Time". It's when we lay on the couch, in our jammies and the children let me or Dan(or sometimes both of us) snuggle them while we watch a Simpsons episode. The Simpsons is a long-time favorite of all of ours;) It's my favorite time of day because it's the only time I get to be that close to my children for that long! They are relaxed, and calm and snuggly and smell clean and sweet from their evening bath. I hope they never grow out of "Snuggle Time", though I know they will. But maybe they'll still want to watch the Simpsons with me when they're older. Here's some pictures of Ben and Emily getting ready for the best time of day=)

She's sooooo sleepy!

Big Brother Ben takes the opportunity to get some Emmie-Snuggles.

He loves his baby sister so much! They kiss eachother good-night before I put Emmie in her crib. Awww!

Halloween Collage

Here's the rest of the pictures! Enjoy!

Trick-Or-Treat!

We went trick-or-treating with Ben's buddies from school. There were 6 preschoolers, one toddler(Milly) and many parents and grandparents. We only did one street, but man, oh man did we score a lot of candy! Ben and Emily shared a candy pail and it was FILLED after only going to 10-15 houses. It was one of the most fun nights of my life. It was amazing to watch them run from house to house in their costumes. They yelled "Trick-or-treat!!!!" while knocking on the doors and once they opened, Ben would say, "Happy Halloween! I need candies, please!". Emily even caught on and walked up to the doors to pick her candy out and put it in the pail. Ben can't stop talking about how much fun he had and all the candy he got. We're already looking forward to next year!

Mummy's boy and my little ghoul. Ben is Mickey Mouse, I am a leopard and Milly is a luv-bug.

Ben and his friends ran around the front yard for about 20 minutes before heading out. This let them work off some built-up excitement! They had lots of energy and enthusiasm for trick-or-treating=)

One of the only shots I got of them in action. I was too busy making sure they behaved. Ben actually ran INTO one house when he saw a cool toy inside. The lady was quite amused!

He was all smiles the rest of the night. Trick-or-treating was a success!

Party At Piper's House

Before trick-or-treating, we went to a little party at Ben's friend Piper's house. There was great food and time to play and relax before we went out for the night.

Mickey Mouse ran to the door. He couldn't wait to get to Piper's!

My little foodie enjoyed the dinner very much. She's much less picky than Ben.

Ben with Piper, the hostess with the mostess;) She was a tiger.

Cooking up some food before going out to trick-or-treat. Ben is obsessed with play-kitchens lately.

Ben's Little House

Ben and Emily's wonderful Nana read our blog and saw how much fun Ben had playing with the little house at Nora's b-day last week. She must have hopped on Amazon the very minute she was done reading about it because two days later we had a big 'ol box addressed to Ben and Emily! Ben was at school when it arrived, so Emmie and Hazel tried it out for him. They quickly moved on to the box it arrived in;)

Ben was so happy to come home to find it! He played with it all day long(and every day since!).

The amazon box was just as fun for Emily.
