The Art of Sharing Part Deux

Both Ben and Emily just adore this fire-truck toy. They fight like rabid dogs over it regularly. Sometimes they try to share it but it's just not made for two hineys--as tiny as those hineys might be. It usually ends with one climbing out in tears but today Ben tried something new. Something about Milly's expression tells me she wasn't too keen.

If at first you don't succeed....

Benisms

Ben has been cracking me up lately! He says so many funny things. Like, last week, he asked me to hold his used lollipop stick for him and I told him I didn't want to hold it. He said, "You're so mean, mommy. I'm not mean. I'm nice." LOL! I told him I was nice, too, but he wasn't really feeling it. Today, he asked me what something was outside, and I told him. He then said, "Mommy. What you think you're talking about?!". I guess Ben doubts the breadth of my knowledge. Last night, I told him it was time to go to bed and he refused. He said, "I'm not tired, mama. I go to sleep on the couch. See?" Then he closed his eyes and pretended to snore. Nice try, Ben! Lastly, my favorite thing he does lately is translate for the babies. He's always there to tell me what the want or need. I love, love, LOVE how much he's talking lately!

Feel The Love

Ben and Emily have been loving to sit next to eachother in this chair. When one is sitting in it, the other loves to climb up and join them. I caught them on camera yesterday behaving like the most loving of siblings;)

Ben giving Milly a sweet hug...well, he meant it to be sweet.

Emily, giving Ben a love-bite. She's teething and loves to let you know:(

My little meanie giving her older brother a love-tap.

This could have been the cutest picture ever if it didn't end up all weird.
Look at her eyes! Ben's face looks so dirty. Oh well. Still pretty cute!

Mommy Dearest

I brought home a doll-stroller and it was an instant hit. It also provoked lots of hitting, screaming and fighting. D'oh! I should have gotten two! Emily had some quality time with the stroller while Ben and Hazel napped today. She decided she'd much rather be the baby instead of the mommy. The very first thing my little mommy-dearest did was grab the baby by her hair and fling her to the ground. She then stole her seat. Nice, Milly.

Book Worm

Emily is just like her mama. She loves to read. LOVES it. She brings me books all day long. We name the pictures together and occassionally she lets me actually read to her. Her patience-level isn't at a point where she can sit still for a whole book. Her favorite types are ones with animals, food or babies in them. She also adores books that make noise and books that have Elmo in them. I take them to Barns & Noble often because Ben loves the train tables and Emily loves the books. She found a book that had Elmo AND puppies in it and I thought she was going to joyfully convulse herself to death. It was like she found her Holy Grail=)

New School Friends

Ben and I have been trying to play nice in hopes that we make some new friends! So far, we really like everyone we've played with=) I envy Ben's position...when you are young, it's so easy to make friends! It gets harder and harder the older you get. At least we all have the common ground the preschool. We met up with some of our classroom pals and their moms for a playdate on Friday. Ben loved playing with Nicole and Alexandra; especially when they showed him how to climb up the snake-bars. He's been trying to figure those out for ages;)
.
Ben loves to climb. He's such a monkey!

Here he is getting instructions from his girlfriends. The lady pictured is Irene, Nicole's mom and the class coordinator. She is fab. Seriously. I'd be lost without her!

This sassy little thing is Alexandra! She is so cute and funny. She was bossing Ben around, but I think he LOVED it;)

By the end of the playdate, Ben was an old pro. Thanks, girls!
